Move Physiotherapy and Pilates is a newly established clinic based in the beautiful Streaky Bay, SA.

My vision for Move is to deliver a quality service with less of a clinical feel and more of a COMMUNITY vibe so that clients can walk away feeling calm and empowered to achieve their goals. I am passionate about not only treating patient’s symptoms, but really digging deep and finding the underlying cause of their issue. I offer a range of treatments including hands on techniques, however, a large focus of treatment is MOVEMENT and using exercise to help people back to doing what they love.

SHELLY FRICKER

Founder of Move Physio & Pilates

I’m originally from Ceduna on the Eyre Peninsula and have resided in Streaky Bay to open Move Physio and Pilates. My passion for movement and all things related to the human body was sparked from a young age through playing country sport. I completed my Graduate degree with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2019, and have worked in private practice ever since. My passion for Pilates came from attending classes myself and understanding the benefits of movement.

I completed my Pilates training through DMA Clinical Pilates, which uses Pilates movements for physio assessment and treatment. In my mat Pilates classes, there is a large focus on quality of movement to achieve a therapeutic effect. I have integrated my clinical pilates knowledge into fitness style classes throughout my time teaching reformer classes.

I love growing my knowledge within the Physiotherapy industry. I’ve completed training in Dry Needling, Clinical Pilates and Women’s & Pelvic Health. I aim to continue learning ensure my clients are receiving the most up to date evidence based service.
